Weathertightness,
a Unique Option in Architectural Metal Roofs
Every aspect of the Genesis™ 360 roof system is designed to assure weathertightness on nearly any slope from 1/2 inch per foot and greater
The name Genesis 360 is derived from the Pittsburgh double-lock seam, a complete 360-degree seam, used by Butler for decades to join panels together to assure complete weathertightness.  Rather than snapped together or crimped seams, which can leave roofs susceptible to air and moisture infiltration, Butler's unique double-lock seam provides the tightest seam available.   The likelihood of a Genesis 360 roof seam leaking is as remote as a soft drink can leaking.  Both employ the same seam design concept.  Because Butler's double-lock seam creates such a strong weathertight, metal membrane barrier - keeping all moisture out - the need for a secondary waterproof membrane underlayment can be eliminated - thereby saving labor and material costs.

360° Pittsburgh double-lock seam creates a permanent seal to keep moisture out and protect building contents.
